Never before in history have Americans been so concerned about nutrition. At the same time, never before have Americans eaten so poorly. What’s responsible for this gradual decline? Largely changes in our agricultural system. Now more than ever, we need to support our local regenerative farmers as they may very likely be the key to our nation’s health.
Regenerative agriculture is still alive here in Indiana, and we want to share it with you. Please join us on Sunday January 7th 3-5pm at Fountain Square Brew Co. for a regenerative farming panel. This a free public event. The panel will feature farmers from Hidden Acres Heritage Meadows Farm Gypsy Rain Organics and Maple Valley Farm – Harvest Partners Our host Aron McNicholas will help navigate topics such as:
Building soil health through reduced tillage, composting, companion planting, and animal husbandry.
Building relationships with local communities to create sustainable food systems.
How to minimize or eliminate synthetic chemicals.
Best ways to support local farmers in your area.
And much more!
So please come by, grab a beer, and learn with your local farmers. Plan to arrive promptly at 3pm for an hour long discussion. We will leave plenty of time for questions and connecting with farmers at the end. See you then!
